Shuttles
All shuttles from the accommodation to the teaching location and back in and around Gutenstein will be provided free of charge for you between 9 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., except Wednesday, Aug 12 (welcome dinner!) between 9 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. 

Arriving Gutenstein by train
From Vienna you have a train connetion to Gutenstein or Pernitz with a changing of the train in Wr. Neustadt. From the train station Gutenstein or Pernitz you will have a free shuttle from us to your accommodation. Shuttle from and to Vienna City or airport
We offer a shuttle service on Aug 12 in the morning at about 9 a.m.  from Vienna to Gutenstein (costs: € 50.- per person and one way, siblings or student with 1 parent € 75.-) and a shuttle back to Vienna/Vienna Airport on august 17 at about 10.30 or later. Please book your travel accordingly!

Restaurant and catering options

  • The place where we offer practicing rooms and where most of the lessons will take place is called “Meierhof”. There we have a big kitchen where students may cook and prepare their individual food (except on the day of the concert).

  • A few meters away there is a supermarket called “Nah und Frisch”. (Monday - Wednesday: 7:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. and 3 p.m. - 6 p.m., Thursday: 7:15 - 12:15 a.m, Friday: 7:15 - 12:15 a.m. and 3 p.m. - 6 p.m, Saturday: 7:15 - 12.00 a.m.)

  • Restaurants in Gutenstein: 

    • Gasthaus Moser, Mariahilfberg
      (Monday 8:30 a.m - 5 p.m., Tuesday - Sunday 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.)

Cancellation conditions
In the event of cancellation for whatever reason, the course fee will be refunded till Aug 4, later only if you can provide a substitute participant! Once you have completed the registration process, the registration fee (€ 100.-) will no longer be refunded!

  • First meeting: Wednesday, aug 12 at 10:30 a.m. at the Meierhof Gutenstein, Markt 2, 2770 Gutenstein (introducing of applicants, schedule of classes, house rules, transfers and shuttles)

  • Wednesday evening: Welcome dinner for all students of the class Judith Fliedl (Violin), Anna Maria Niemiec (Cello) and Piotr Kosic (Piano) at 6 p.m. at the Meierhof! 

  • Every student receives one individual lesson and one chamber music lesson every day. Further details will be announced soon!

  • Sunday, Aug 16, 2026

      1. 11 a.m. Chamber Music in the church Mariahilfberg

      2. General rehearsal at the Refektorium Servitenkloster Mariahilfberg, time will be announced by Mr. Kosic in cooperation with Judith Fliedl (violin) and Anna Niemiec
        (Cello) in time.

      3. 4 p.m.: Concert of the piano class Piotr Kosic together with the Violin class (Judith Fliedl) and the cello class (Anna Maria Niemiec) at the Refektorium Servitenkloster!

Über Piotr Kosic

Piotr Koscik wurde in Polen geboren und ist Pianist sowie Dirigent. Seine musikalische Ausbildung erhielt er an der mdw in Wien bei Prof. Oleg Maisenberg, in Florenz im postgradualen Klavierstudiums bei Prof. Eliso Virsaladze sowie an der ZHdK in Zürich im Dirigierstudium bei Prof. Iwan Wassilewski und Prof. Christoph Mathias Müller. Darüber hinaus profitierte er von der Zusammenarbeit mit Klavierprofessoren wie Dang Thai Son, Matti Raekallio und Michel Béroff.

Koscik ist Preisträger mehrerer internationaler Klavierwettbewerbe, darunter der „International Piano Competition for Young Musicians“ in Enschede, wo er den zweiten Preis sowie „The Netherlands Symphony Orchestra Prize“ erhielt (mit dem er 2010 auf Tournee ging), dem „Münchner Klavierpodium der Jugend“ mit dem ersten Preis und einem Sonderpreis für die beste Wiedergabe einer klassischen Sonate sowie dem „VII Internationaler Schlesinger Klavierwettbewerb“ in Zabrze, Polen. Außerdem war er Finalist beim „Osaka Musik Wettbewerb“ in Japan. Er wurde mit dem Stipendium des Premierministers von Polen sowie dem „Junges- Talent-Preis“ ausgezeichnet und von privaten Stiftungen wie der Maschmann-Stiftung und der Honorius-Stiftung in Linz und Wien gefördert.

Im Jahr 2019 debütierte er in China beim Eröffnungskonzert des Chopin-Festivals in Guangzhou im Xinghai-Konzertsaal. Darüber hinaus trat Piotr als Solist bei zahlreichen Festivals auf wie „Chopiniada“ in Frankfurt, „Chopin Amare“ in Palermo, „Išskirtinai ŠOPENAS“ in Vilnius, „Chopin Piano Fest“ im Pristina und „Chopin Industrialnie“ in Zabrze, Polen. Seit 2018 besteht die Zusammenarbeit mit dem Verlag „Boosey & Hawkes“, bei der Piotr die Werke des polnisch- jüdischen Komponisten Simon Laks aufführt. Nach einem seiner Recitals schrieb die Frankfurter Rundschau: „...dem jährlichen Konzert der Chopin-Gesellschaft am Geburtstag des Namenspatrons verlieh der polnische Pianist Piotr Koscik Glanz. Seine intelligenten Interpretationen sind frei von Effekthascherei.“

Der polnische Pianist trat mit zahlreichen angesehenen Orchestern auf, unter anderem mit dem Niederländischen Symphonieorchester, dem Radiosymphonieorchester Bratislava, dem Nationalsymphonieorchester Kosovo, der Philharmonie Zabrze, der Philharmonie Rzeszów und dem Philharmonieorchester Székelyföldi.

Er konzertiert regelmäßig in Österreich, Deutschland, Italien, Polen, Frankreich, Holland, Rumänien, Serbien und Kosovo in renommierten Sälen wie dem Gasteig in München, dem Radiokulturhaus in Wien, dem Palais du Monaco in Paris, dem Kolarac-Konzertsaal in Belgrad, dem Steinway-Haus in München, dem Nationaal Muziekkwartier in Enschede, dem Theater Odeon De Spiegel in Zwolle, der Artur-Rubinstein-Philharmonie in Łódź, der Stadthalle Oberursel, Chiesa di San Mattia ai Crociferi in Palermo, und Traku Vokes Palais in Vilnius. Es entstanden bereits zwei Solo-CDs mit Klavierwerken von Haydn, Mozart, Chopin und Liszt, aufgenommen im Geburtsort von Franz Liszt, in Raiding.

Das 2018 in Zürich begonnene Dirigierstudium führte zur Zusammenarbeit mit angesehenen Orchestern wie der Filharmonia Śląska in Katowice, der Filharmonia Podkarpacka in Rzeszów, dem Südwestdeutschen Kammerorchester, dem Belgrade Kammerorchester, dem Ploiești Philharmonic Orchestra, der Oradea Philharmonic, dem Orchestra Sinfonica d'Este Ferrara, der Sinfonietta Berlin und dem Ruse Philharmonic Orchestra. Piotr wurde zu zahlreichen Meisterkursen mit prominenten Dirigenten eingeladen – Dirigierkurs in Helsinki bei Prof. Jorma Panula (Professor von Klaus Mäkelä), in Ostrava bei Prof. Christian Mathias Müller (Assistent von Claudio Abbado), in Sofia bei Prof. Johannes Schläfli (Zürcher Hochschule der Künste) und in Katowice bei Prof. Lawrence Foster (Assistent von Zubin Mehta), der Piotr mit folgenden Worten empfahl: „Er ist ein sensibler und leidenschaftlicher Musiker mit einer klaren künstlerischen Vision und großer Liebe zum Detail.“

Piotr Koscik ist seit über 17 Jahren auch als engagierter Klavierpädagoge tätig. Er leitete Masterclasses in Guangzhou (China) gemeinsam mit dem renommierten Pianisten Janusz Olejniczak. Seine Schüler:innen sind Preisträger internationaler Wettbewerbe wie Prima la musica (Österreich), Piano Competition in Orbetello und Città di Piave (Venedig).
