  • If Prof. Kahry does not know you already, please send a demo to office@meisterklassen-gutenstein.at. A few days later you will get an answer from the organization if Prof. Kahry will accept you in his class.

Accommodation
Due to the Raimundspiele taking place at the same time, we kindly ask you to book your accommodation as early as possible!!

Shuttles
All shuttles from the accommodation to the teaching location and back in and around Gutenstein will be provided free of charge for you between 9 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., except Wednesday, July 8, 2026 (welcome dinner!) between 9 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. 

Arriving Gutenstein by train
From Vienna you have a train connetion to Gutenstein or Pernitz with a changing of the train in Wr. Neustadt. From the train station Gutenstein or Pernitz you will have a free shuttle from us to your accommodation. Shuttle from and to Vienna City or airport
We offer a shuttle service on July 8 in the morning at about 9 a.m.  from Vienna to Gutenstein (costs: € 50.- per person and one way, siblings or student with 1 parent € 75.-) and a shuttle back to Vienna/Vienna Airport on July 13 at about 10.30 or later. Please book your travel accordingly!

Restaurant and catering options

  • The place where we offer practicing rooms and where most of the lessons will take place is called “Meierhof”. There we have a big kitchen where students may cook and prepare their individual food (except on the day of the concert).

  • A few meters away there is a supermarket called “Nah und Frisch”. (Monday - Wednesday: 7:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. and 3 p.m. - 6 p.m., Thursday: 7:15 - 12:15 a.m, Friday: 7:15 - 12:15 a.m. and 3 p.m. - 6 p.m, Saturday: 7:15 - 12.00 a.m.)

  • Restaurants in Gutenstein: 

    • Gasthaus Moser, Mariahilfberg
      (Monday 8:30 a.m - 5 p.m., Tuesday - Sunday 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.)

    • Lio Pizzeria Restaurant & Kegelbahn, Markt 100 (a few meters away from Meierhof)
      (Tuesday - Saturday: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.)

    • Brandstätterhof, Längapiesting 7
      You need a shuttle or a car to go there.

Cancellation conditions
In the event of cancellation for whatever reason, the course fee will be refunded till June 20, later only if you can provide a substitute participant! Once you have completed the registration process, the registration fee (€ 100.-) will no longer be refunded!

Program

  • First meeting: Wednesday 8, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at the Meierhof Gutenstein, Markt 2, 2770 Gutenstein (intruducing of applicants, schedule of classes, house rules, planning of interactivities with the saxophone class)

  • Wednesday evening, Jul 8, 2026: Welcome dinner for all students, teachers and pianists of the saxophone class, 6:00 p.m. at Lio Pizzeria Restaurant & Kegelbahn, Markt 100 (a few meters away from Meierhof).

  • During classes and at the concert you will be accompanied by our pianist Maximilian Schamschula. 

  • Sunday, July 12, 2026 at 4 p.m.

    • General rehearsal: time will be announced by Prof. Kahry

    • Final Concert at 4 p.m. at the Refektorium Servitenkloster Mariahilfberg
      Prof. Kahry performing with the students of his voice masterclass interacting with the saxophon class       at the Refektorium Servitenkloster Mariahilfberg (Shuttles will be provided to and from the Mariahilfberg).

    • After concert let us meet at the buffet for a drink and snacks!
