About the class
Prof. Noelle Turner is an internationally renowned and appreciated teacher. She has taught Voice for Musical Theatre since 1991 at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen, Germany. Courses in London with Paul Farrington and Anne-Marie Speed EVTS (Estill Voice Training System) supplemented her teacher training. The course focuses on the technical development and maintenance of voice, repertoire work and the musical and interpretative performance of the songs. She will be accompanied by Lior Kretzer, music director of the musical department of the MUK Vienna.
About Prof. Noelle Turner
Prof. Noelle Turner, USA, has taught Voice for Musical Theatre since 1991 at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen, Germany
Prof. Turner studied classical voice at Oberlin College Conservatory with Professor Richard Miller and at Indiana University with Prof. Eileen Farrel. She worked for several years with Cornelius Reid (New York City) and Carol Forte (Toronto). Courses in London with Paul Farrington and Anne-Marie Speed n EVTS (Estill Voice Training System) supplemented her teacher training.
After working as an opera and concert singer, Ms. Turner, focused on voice training. She accompanied the development of Musical Theatre in the German-speaking area since the mid-80s. She has taught at the Musical Studio in Munich and at the Stage School of Dance and Drama in Hamburg. Prof. Turner worked as vocal coach on productions as Cats, Hamburg, Phantom of the Opera, Hamburg, Starlight Express, Bochum, Joseph, eating, Miami Nights, Dusseldorf and We Will Rock You, Cologne. Her students include such well-known performers as Pia Douwes, Uwe Kröger, Randy Diamond, David Jacob and Serkan Kaya. She has given master classes, seminars, workshops and lectures in Germany, The Netherlands, Czech Republic, Austria and Israel.
Prof. Turner is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), USA, and the Association of German Singing Teachers (BDG).
