To which extent does classical vocal training allow us to explore our entire vocal potential and to use it adequately? Timna Brauer inspires the participants with precise but simple exercises to discover hidden ways of expression of their voice. Endless musical worlds open up when rhythm, phrasing, diction, timbre and joy of improvisation create an inspiring interplay.

  • repertoire and style: jazz standards, chansons and musicals as basis for swing, phrasing and improvisation

  • "Off-beat", solo and ensemble singing, a capella and with professional coaching and piano accompaniment by the internationally renowned Jazz pianist Elias Meiri.

About Timna Brauer

Timna Brauer is active in the world music, chanson, jazz and musical scene since almost three decades. As a soloist and with her ensemble she is present in the most renowned music halls and festivals. Her international career as interpreter and pedagogue is based on years of study on wide extent. Starting at the Vienna Conservatory, continuing at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna through to the Mozarteum Academy Salzburg with Professor Elisabeth Grümmer, vocal jazz training with Christiane Legrand at Le Cim Paris and Indian singing training with Professor Javheri in Munich. Furthermore she graduated with honors in musicology from the Paris Sorbonne.
